HANÓI, VIETNAM

Vietnam was the first country I ever visited as a backpacker. I didn't really know what to expect as I arrived to my first hostel, but I was stunned by the experience.

Along with some fellow travellers, we travelled from the South to the North of the country (much like Clarkson, Hammond and May in Top Gear).

The people were so friendly, curious and giving with their time. I feel a deep fondness to them, and they taught me so much about treating others with kindness and not expecting anything in return, their postitivity and their resilience.

I am very grateful for this trip, for it taught me a new perspective on living, and the people really restored my faith in humanity.
